EU Synergy’s 2008 internal administrative and foundation-strengthening programs are:
- Strengthen program collaboration with the following Dutch and EU agencies: Nederlands Jeugd Instituut and the European Commission ‘Youth in Action’ Programme; Nederlands Ministerie van Jeugd en Gezin; Nederlands Ministerie van Sociale Zaken en Werkgelegenheid and the European Social Fund; Nederlands Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap; Eurofound European Monitoring Centre on Change; The European Network to Promote Women's Entrepreneurship (WES); European Commission Enterprise and Industry Directorate; General Unit E.1 "Entrepreneurship" ; Nederlands Centrum voor Sociale Innovatie; Nyenrode Center for Entrepeneurship, Nyenrode Business Universiteit; Amsterdam Center for Entrepeneurship, Universiteit v. Amsterdam; Mini-Ondernemingen Nederland; JADE and UniPartners/JADE Nederlands and the American Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands
- Develop the fund for micro-businesses with additional commitments of funding in different forms (matching, industry restricted, socially restricted, and purpose restricted funds).
- Confirm Board of Advisors
- Develop network with ‘angel’ and SME investors for EU women and minorities
- Assess the possibility of the Foundation to become a gateway from the USA to the European Union (and vice versa) for SME businesses, utilizing the business foundations existing with the current Dutch-American Commerce and Tax treaties.
